8:10am: "Good morning, Ketch Services, can you come unlock my door? It's jammed, the key doesn't work, I need my things urgently as I'm worried I might be late for work."
8:40am: I arrived. Found lock faulty. Removed the lock and opened the door in less than 30 seconds. "Wow, so fast", he exclaimed. I smiled. Glad this one was a milk run. Not always so simple. We discussed the replacement lock as he grabbed his belongings.
8:50 am: New lock in place and tested by customers family member. Customer's ride arrived and he left for his meeting. Found door slightly warped from age/moisture and door frame damage from the past. Made minor adjustments to compensate for the misalignment.
9:00am: Put on boots, gave the customer's missus an assessment of the door frame and advice on actions to consider.
Typical job. Happy customer. A cup of yuan yang is in order.
Now, on to the rest of the day.
