Golden Hill Orchids (GHO) has been set up in 1977. When GHO started its operations, we only had a few rows of orchids and varieties were limited. The ability to carry out our promises of providing quality products secure our positioning in the market. With the support of many counterparts, GHO has expanded into a considerable company in the market today. During the 80s, Singapore business environm
ent began to change and GHO was quick to react and made alternative plans. Malaysia was chosen as the production area due to the natural attributes that may contribute to better quality productions. Lower production costs and convenient location add on to the advantages of shifting the production site to Malaysia . Singapore is still the main place of contact due to its good business environment which provides excellent infrastructures and communication link. In this way, we can continue to provide good services with reasonable price to our customers. The Malaysia production also started small with only 13 acres of land growing orchids. During the mid of 1980s, GHO slowly diversified into foliages, starting only with Dracaena Godseffiana. Over the years, GHO had expanded from a mere 13 acres of land to the present of around 300 acres of land for production. The main product had also shifted from orchids to cut foliages and potted plants. To date, GHO has a number of varieties to sell for both local and foreign market. The ability in ensuring consistent and good quality supply has helped GHO attracts many customers from different continents of the world such as buyers coming from Australia , New Zealand , Japan , and parts of Europe . Certain countries have very strict regulations on imports of agricultural products and here in GHO, our assurance of maintaining high quality products make it possible for us to market our foliages to different parts of the world.
