Not all meters tell the full story! 📏🚫
Handheld detectors can be affected by other gases and may have significant errors. Some of them measure TVOCs and not formaldehyde specifically.

Hidden Formaldehyde Risks! ⚠️

Even solid wood isn’t always toxin-free! Formaldehyde can still be present in adhesives used in joints or varnishes and stains applied to the surface. These finishes and bonding agents can release harmful emissions over time, impacting indoor air quality and potentially causing health issues like eye irritation, respiratory problems, or allergies.

To create a healthier space, look for low-VOC or formaldehyde-free materials, opt for water-based finishes, and ensure proper ventilation. Small choices can make a big difference in air quality! 🌿🏡💨

Even if each material meets the safety standard of 0.1 mg/m³ (as per Singapore Standard SS 554:2016), combining multiple materials in a space can lead to cumulative pollution - pushing overall pollutant levels beyond safe limits.
