The clients were clear from the beginning about what they did not want. No stage-set interiors. No trend-driven aesthetics that would age poorly. They wanted a home that was calm, elegant, and full of life — something warm enough for children to grow and play in, yet refined enough to hold its atmosphere through years of daily use. There is a particular kind of courage in designing around what you already love. Not the easy kind — the kind that requires genuine conviction in your own taste, your own memory, your own story. IDesignerLab found exactly this conviction in a Singapore couple who came to them not with a clean slate, but with a richly annotated one: a painting they returned to again and again, a pair of colours that held private meaning, furniture that had survived moves and years and still felt right.

Entertainer’s Dream by Lori Morris unfolds as a richly layered, cinematic retreat—where glamour is both intentional and immersive. A sculptural staircase wrapped in deep blue textures and crowned with cascading crystal sets a dramatic, seductive tone.

At its heart, a jewel-like lounge and high-gloss bar anchor the space, where velvet, brass, marble, and lacquer interplay in a palette of depth and sheen. The theatre offers a refined cinematic experience with tiered velvet seating and a grand projection screen, while the adjoining pool room introduces artful contrast through bold statement pieces and bespoke detailing.

In the heart of Country Park, a three-bedroom apartment—once well-worn and deeply loved—has been reawakened through a bold and deliberate act of design by Arjan Nijen Twilhaar, Principal Interior Designer of Aiden T.

At Duchess Ave, RENOSTUD.IO leans into a richer rhythm, where shadow, texture, and pattern gather like layers of a well-told story.

Deep walnut tones ground the home, while botanical murals and patterned walls bloom across surfaces, lush, expressive, and quietly theatrical. Light is kept low and deliberate, casting a warm glow that turns every corner into a vignette.

In the living spaces, dark paneling and soft textiles create an enveloping calm, intimate, almost cinematic. The kitchen softens the mood with creamy cabinetry and stone, offering a gentle counterpoint to the home’s deeper palette.

Moments of play and personality emerge throughout, zebra prints, carved animals, a child’s corner bathed in daylight, each adding a touch of life to the composition.

Bathrooms become immersive retreats, wrapped in pattern and tone, where contrast is not tension, but harmony.

Nestled in the heart of the city, Noir Haven designed by HID Studio is a bold yet intimate response to contemporary living—an interior concept where social vibrancy and personal retreat coexist in harmonious contrast. Conceived for a homeowner with an adventurous spirit and a deep appreciation for both connection and calm, the space is designed to adapt fluidly between lively gatherings and moments of quiet solitude.

At its core lies an open-plan living and dining area, deliberately expansive and inviting. Here, spatial boundaries blur to encourage easy flow and effortless hosting, supported by moody palettes and tactile finishes that heighten the sensory experience. Rich, dark tones meet soft, ambient lighting to set a warm, cocooning atmosphere, offering a sophisticated backdrop for everyday life.
