The beauty of upcycling.
Once I get an idea of what the object can become, I begin the transformation process. This can include various textile and other techniques such as crochet, laser cutting, printing and sewing. The key is to preserve the essence of the original object and give it new life and meaning. For example, I can turn an old piece of fabric into a new placemat, or use old T-shirts to make ribbons for crocheting unique baskets. The beauty of upcycling is that there are no set rules. Each product can be transformed in its own unique way, and the possibilities are endless. It is a way of expressing our individuality and creativity, while at the same time doing something good for the environment.
