It didn’t start this way.....the space was once divided by several walls that we had to knock down to reclaim it as one grand room. Now, it stands as the quintessential study: a space with depth, warmth, and the quiet sense of a life well traveled. It feels collected over time, layered with pieces gathered from around the world. What better room than a study to showcase your memories.

Though the bookshelf is newly built, its proportions, detailing, and finish root it firmly in the spirit of the room. Together with the crown moldings and paneled walls, it creates a setting that feels both timeless and personal .

When choosing fabrics and paint colour for bedrooms, I always start with how I want the space to feel. Soft, layered, to create calm, while hints of colour through fabrics, structural materials, or painted walls add personality and warmth. It’s all about creating a palette that feels restful yet full of character.
We also worked with the client’s existing paintings, a beautiful collection of Winters landscapes and seascapes. Painting the walls in San Marco paint: "badminton park" really makes them come to life. The depth of the colours makes each piece pop, tying the whole room together in a subtle but striking way.
Equally important are the details: hardware and lighting. I love the ceramic blue up/down light in this room, which contrasts beautifully with the cut glass of the chandelier and the more traditional wall lights — each element playing its part to bring balance and charm to the space.

This old Thai door has been in the family for years, moving from place to place. This time, we found the perfect spot for her. The entire bar was designed with this door in mind — bringing elegance and function while staying true to its heritage and timeless character. We were lucky to have an amazing team of carpenters and restorers who brought it back to life with such care and craftsmanship.

✨Before and After Dining Room Transformation ✨
We’re back (the flu had me down for a bit 😷).
This time, we’re showcasing the villa’s dining room — a space that once served for medical procedures, now transformed into a warm, formal dining room. Think English charm, tailored curtains, and moulding glora with refined details to round it all off.
The only things we’re serving now are attitude and dinner.

A Villa with a Story
Once a residence, an embassy, even a clinic — this Ljubljana villa carries many lives within its walls. Today, it’s reborn with rich colours, bespoke fireplaces, mouldings, bookshelves, and timeless details that celebrate its history while writing a new chapter.
Our painstaking attention to detail — adding mouldings to ceilings, floors, and everything in between — to revive its historical character. Rich colours emphasize the paintings, while custom-designed fireplaces, bookshelves, lighting, and curtains bring depth and warmth to every room. This is just the beginning, join us this week on the unveiling with much more to show you.

A few more during & after moments to share the transformation—
this time, a peek at the outside. 🌲
Watching the exterior take shape has been just as rewarding as the interiors.
Unlike the inside, this will only get better with time—what you can’t quite see yet are the Indigenous small trees and native alpine ground cover we planted, slowly weaving the house into its mountain setting.

A dear friend once reminded me: a house can be finished, but a garden never really is.
It grows, shifts, and invites you to keep adding and changing.

This is just the start for this one, and I hope it keeps changing and growing with time, because there is nothing more beautiful than a mature garden. Priceless.

The journey of a renovation can be slow and tiresome—especially when planning projects in Triglav National Park. 🏔️ = ⏰

Our goal for this project was to recreate the feeling of a traditional Slovenian cottage using elements that define a true mountain cabin: panelled walls, a built-in sofa, and a traditional tiled fireplace.
The staircase was inspired by the jagged mountain rock surrounding the house, adding a sculptural connection to the landscape.
Because this Soča Valley home is a kit house, we focused on infusing the interiors with warmth and character—balancing the simple exterior with a modern layout enriched by texture and a sense of history.
