วันนี้ “wellness” ยังเป็นแค่ function หนึ่งของบ้านอยู่ไหม
หรือจริงๆ แล้วมันเริ่มกลายเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของวิธีใช้ชีวิตไปแล้ว?

INchan atelier มีโอกาสไปร่วมงานเปิดตัว PENT. Luxury Fitness Equipment ที่ Upper Dec จากคำเชิญของ Design Something ภายใต้หัวข้อ “The Kinetic Sanctuary”

สิ่งที่น่าสนใจของงานนี้ คือวิธีที่ fitness equipment ถูกจัดวางอยู่ในพื้นที่แบบเดียวกับ furniture หรืองาน interior ชิ้นหนึ่ง
ทั้งวัสดุ โทนสี รายละเอียดของหนังและไม้ รวมถึง scale ของ object ที่รังสรรค์ เสมือนงาน Craft ต่างๆ ที่ทำให้บรรยากาศโดยรวมแตกต่างจากภาพจำของ home gym ที่คุ้นเคย

หลายช่วงของงานทำให้นึกถึงบ้านร่วมสมัยหลายหลังในช่วงนี้ ที่เริ่มมีพื้นที่สำหรับ movement, stretching หรือ recovery แทรกอยู่ในชีวิตประจำวันมากขึ้นไม่ได้แยกออกไปเป็นอีกห้องแบบชัดเจน แต่ค่อยๆ อยู่รวมกับพื้นที่พักผ่อน มุมอ่านหนังสือ หรือ living area มากกว่าเดิม ถือได้ว่ากลมกลืนกับในชีวิตประจำวันไปแล้วค่ะ

ในงานมี session พูดคุยร่วมกับคุณฮิม อิสริยะ คูหาเปรมกิจ รวมถึงแขกรับเชิญจากหลายสายของวงการ design และ architecture ซึ่งหลายประเด็นก็น่าสนใจ โดยเฉพาะเวลาที่พูดถึงวิธีใช้ชีวิตของคนเมืองในวันนี้ ว่าหลายครั้ง “พื้นที่” ก็เริ่มสะท้อนวิธีคิดและจังหวะการใช้ชีวิตของเจ้าของบ้านมากขึ้นเรื่อยๆ

หลายครั้งเจ้าของบ้านอาจไม่ได้ต้องอธิบายตัวตนของตัวเองออกมาตรงๆ
แต่รายละเอียดเล็กๆ ภายในพื้นที่ รวมถึงสิ่งของที่เลือกอยู่ด้วยกันในบ้าน ก็มักสะท้อนวิธีใช้ชีวิตและรสนิยมของคนในบ้านได้ชัดเจนเป็นอย่างดี

When did wellness stop becoming just another function within the house
and start becoming part of everyday living instead?

Yesterday, INchan atelier had the opportunity to attend the opening of PENT. Luxury Fitness Equipment at Upper Dec, invited by Design Something under the theme “The Kinetic Sanctuary.”

What stood out most was the way the fitness equipment was presented, almost like furniture or interior objects within the space.
The materials, the leather details, the warm tones of wood, and even the proportions of each piece shifted the atmosphere away from the usual image of a home gym.

At many moments throughout the evening, it brought to mind several contemporary homes recently, where movement, stretching, or recovery spaces are gradually becoming part of everyday living.
Rather than being separated into another dedicated room, these functions are beginning to blend naturally with reading corners, living areas, and spaces for rest.

There was also a conversation session with Khun Hym Isriya Kooha Premkit alongside guests from the design and architecture community. Many parts of the discussion were especially interesting when talking about how people live today, and how spaces increasingly reflect the mindset and rhythms of the people living within them.

Often, homeowners do not need to directly explain who they are.
Small details within a space, along with the objects chosen to coexist within the home, already reveal quite a lot about the way they live and what they value.
