Recap of ASA International Forum
Our firm, Jenchieh Hung + Kulthida Songkittipakdee / HAS design and research, was honored to be invited as speakers at the ASA International Forum, organized by The Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage (ASA) during the ASA Architect Expo, under the theme “FUTURE ILLUSION.”
During the ASA International Forum, our firm shared a unique perspective on integrating nature into contemporary architecture beyond conventional urban development models. Through experimental projects and research-based design approaches, we discussed the relationship between architecture, ecology, emotion, and future urban living in an increasingly industrialized world.

The Simple Creative Workspace, designed by our firm, Jenchieh Hung + Kulthida Songkittipakdee / HAS design and research, draws inspiration from a nearby natural cave, a peaceful retreat for local people. The design integrates the calming essence of nature into the workspace through a series of interconnected “natural caves,” symbolising refuge, reflection, and inspiration.
Organic curved walls replace conventional office rigidity, encouraging collaboration, fluid movement, and creative exchange. The workspace becomes a sanctuary where people can reconnect with their creative process while experiencing a sense of calm, rejuvenation, and imagination. Our firm, Jenchieh Hung + Kulthida Songkittipakdee / HAS design and research, continues to demonstrate a deep commitment to architectural education and critical discourse. Most recently, we were invited to serve as Design Critics in Architecture for the Year 4 studio reviews at INDA – International Program in Design and Architecture, Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok, Thailand. The studio, titled “Invisible Grounds,” was led by Will Hulbert and explored the theme of claiming space within the margins of the city, investigating the lives, labour, cultures, and social practices of foreign domestic workers.
This engagement at INDA is part of a broader and ongoing academic contribution by our firm. Over the years, our firm has taken on roles as visiting professors and design critics in architecture at leading institutions across Asia, including Tongji University, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, World University of Design, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, Chulalongkorn University, and Kasetsart University. Our involvement in academia extends beyond lectures and reviews; it is a direct extension of our architectural practice. By bridging professional insight with academic rigor, our firm fosters meaningful dialogue between education and real-world architectural practice while supporting the next generation of architects.

Recently, we were invited to participate as Design Critics in Architecture for the Year 2 studio reviews at INDA – International Program in Design and Architecture, Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. The studio, titled Speculative Ground and led by Aurapim Phongsirivech, encouraged students to rethink latent urban infrastructure and investigate new possibilities for the relationship between humans and cities.
Our participation at INDA reflects the firm’s long-standing commitment to academia and the development of future architectural discourse across Asia. Our firm, Jenchieh Hung + Kulthida Songkittipakdee / HAS design and research, gave a public lecture at Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in Bangkok, organized by Thailand MICE X-Change 2026 (TMX 2026), sharing insights on the topic: “Special Booth Construction Designs – Visual Appeal, Brand Engagement, Colours, and Layouts to Attract Visitors.
The lecture was attended by a large audience and reflected the philosophy, design thinking, and creative approach of our firm toward architecture, exhibition design, and spatial experience !
