วันนี้ทีมหนุ่มน้อยห้านาย ได้พากันออกจากโรงแรมที่พักกันมาแต่เช้า นั่งรถขึ้นดอยกันมาเกือบสองชั่วโมงเพื่อมาตามหาสาวงามบ้านป่า คำหล้าชาวดอย ของชนเผ่า Lepcha แห่งเมือง Kalimpong โชคช่วยให้ให้มาพบคนงามเมื่อตอนขวานยังไม่บิ่น อิอิ เธอยืนรอเราอยู่บนลานหญ้าบนเขาสูง น่าจะ 1500 เมตรจากระดับน้ำทะเลครับ เธอสวยงามน่ารักแบบเรียบง่าย งามด้วยวัสดุธรรมชาติและงามด้วยประโยชน์ใช้สอยที่ตรงไปตรงมา งามเมื่อถูกวางอยู่บนพิ้นที่ลาดที่เหมาะสมบนภูเขาสูง เธออายุ 150 ปีแล้วล่ะ ยังคงสวยสมวัยครับ
การพบกันของเราคราวนี้ยังจะเป็นประโยชน์ต่อเราและเธอต่อไปให้อนาคตอันใกล้นี้ล่ะ หวังว่าเรากับเธอคงจะได้พบกันอีก ขอบคุณพ่อสื่อสุบินที่ชักนำให้เรามาพบกันนะครับ

This morning, our team of five young men left the hotel early and drove up the mountain for almost two hours in search of the beautiful forest maiden, Kham La, a hill woman of the Lepcha tribe in Kalimpong. Fortunately, luck was on our side—we found the lovely lady just in time, before the axe had even dulled, haha.
She was standing on a grassy clearing high up in the mountains, probably around 1,500 meters above sea level. Her beauty was simple and natural—charming in her raw materials and straightforward in her usefulness. She looked even more stunning when placed on the right sloping terrain of the highland. She is now 150 years old and still very beautiful.
This meeting will surely be beneficial for both her and us in the near future. I hope we will meet her again. Special thanks to our matchmaker, Subin, for bringing us together.

ผมรู้สึกมีความสุขและขอบคุณอย่างยิ่งที่ได้มีโอกาสได้ทำมาสเตอร์แพลนใหม่ของโรงแรมแห่งนี้เมื่อสองปีก่อน โครงการนี้ช่วยให้ผมสามารถรักษาต้นไม้เดิมจำนวนมากตามแนวรั้วด้านเหนือและตะวันออก รวมทั้งต้นไม้ใหญ่บางต้นภายในพื้นที่ด้านในของโครงการ ผมวางตำแหน่งอาคารต่างๆ ล้อมรอบคอร์ทกลาง เพื่อคงไว้และเสริมให้ความงามตามธรรมชาติของพื้นที่เปล่งประกายออกมาได้อย่างเต็มที่ จุดมุ่งหมายของผมคืออยากให้ทุกคนรู้สึกว่า อาคารเหล่านี้เกิดขึ้นมาพร้อมกับต้นไม้ที่อยู่รอบๆ อย่างกลมกลืน นี่คือแนวคิดการออกแบบที่สร้างความงามขึ้นโดยการแตะต้องและรบกวนธรรมชาติเดิมของไซต์ให้น้อยที่สุด แต่ในขณะเดียวกันก็ดึงเอาความงามที่มีอยู่แล้วออกมาให้มากที่สุด

I am very happy and grateful for having the opportunity to create the new masterplan for this hotel two years ago. This project allowed me to save many existing trees along the northern and eastern fences, as well as several magnificent trees within the site itself. I positioned each building around a central courtyard to preserve and enhance the site’s natural beauty, allowing it to fully express its own power and charm. My goal was for everyone to feel as if the buildings and the trees were born together in harmony. This design approach seeks to create beauty by touching and altering the natural character of the site as little as possible, while at the same time revealing and celebrating its inherent beauty to the fullest.
