Beauty in Imperfection: The Story of Yuu Residence
The interior design of Yuu Residence is inspired by two Japanese philosophies—Kintsugi and Wabi-Sabi—translated across the Lobby, Sales Gallery, and three distinctive show units.
For the Lobby and Sales Gallery, we drew inspiration from Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with precious metallic lines. Rather than hiding imperfections, the design celebrates connection and transformation. Textured stone represents the natural character of broken pottery, while warm wood, bronze details, and metallic accents symbolise the lines that reconnect each fragment. Clean forms, layered patterns, framed openings, natural light, and warm illumination create a welcoming, refined, and timeless atmosphere.
The three show units are guided by Wabi-Sabi, celebrating simplicity, natural materials, subtle textures, and the quiet beauty of imperfection.
The Writer reflects a creative lifestyle centred on writing, reading, art, travel, and green tea. A monochrome palette, straight lines, and modern simplicity create a calm space for focus and creativity.
The Engineer represents a practical, organised, and well-travelled personality. Light wood, geometric block patterns, natural textures, and Japandi influences create a warm and balanced interior.
The Business Owner expresses confidence and individuality through rich wood finishes, graphic patterns, glossy surfaces, and bold visual accents, adding depth and sophistication to the space.
Although each unit has its own identity, all are connected through the same design approach—personal, balanced, and quietly timeless.
Our scope of work included Interior Design & Build, Prop Styling, and Set-up, allowing us to carry the vision from concept development and construction through final styling and completion.

งานออกแบบภายในของ Yuu Residence ได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจากปรัชญาญี่ปุ่น 2 แนวคิด ได้แก่ Kintsugi และ Wabi-Sabi ซึ่งถูกนำมาตีความผ่านพื้นที่ Lobby, Sales Gallery และห้องตัวอย่าง 3 รูปแบบ
สำหรับ Lobby และ Sales Gallery เราได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจาก Kintsugi ศิลปะการซ่อมแซมเครื่องปั้นดินเผาที่แตกร้าวด้วยเส้นโลหะล้ำค่า แทนที่จะปกปิดความไม่สมบูรณ์แบบ งานออกแบบกลับให้คุณค่ากับการเชื่อมต่อและการเปลี่ยนแปลง พื้นผิวหินสื่อถึงลักษณะธรรมชาติของเศษเครื่องปั้นดินเผา ขณะที่ไม้โทนอุ่น รายละเอียดสีบรอนซ์ และวัสดุเมทัลลิก เปรียบเสมือนเส้นที่เชื่อมแต่ละชิ้นส่วนเข้าด้วยกัน เส้นสายที่เรียบสะอาด ลวดลายซ้อนชั้น ช่องเปิดที่ได้รับการออกแบบอย่างพิถีพิถัน แสงธรรมชาติ และแสงไฟโทนอุ่น ช่วยสร้างบรรยากาศที่อบอุ่น เรียบหรู และเหนือกาลเวลา
ห้องตัวอย่างทั้ง 3 รูปแบบได้รับการออกแบบภายใต้แนวคิด Wabi-sabi ซึ่งให้คุณค่ากับความเรียบง่าย วัสดุธรรมชาติ พื้นผิวที่ละเอียดอ่อน และความงามอันเงียบสงบของความไม่สมบูรณ์แบบ
The Writer สะท้อนไลฟ์สไตล์ของผู้ที่รักการเขียน การอ่าน ศิลปะ การเดินทาง และชาเขียว ผ่านโทนสีโมโนโครม เส้นสายตรง และความเรียบง่ายแบบโมเดิร์น เพื่อสร้างพื้นที่สงบที่ส่งเสริมสมาธิและความคิดสร้างสรรค์
The Engineer ถ่ายทอดบุคลิกที่เป็นระบบ ใช้งานได้จริง และมีประสบการณ์จากการเดินทาง ด้วยไม้โทนสีอ่อน ลวดลายบล็อกเรขาคณิต พื้นผิวธรรมชาติ และกลิ่นอายแบบ Japandi เพื่อสร้างพื้นที่ที่อบอุ่นและสมดุล
The Business Owner สื่อถึงความมั่นใจและความมีเอกลักษณ์ ผ่านวัสดุไม้ ลวดลายกราฟิก พื้นผิวมันวาว และองค์ประกอบที่โดดเด่น ช่วยเพิ่มมิติและความเรียบหรูให้กับพื้นที่
แม้แต่ละห้องจะมีบุคลิกที่แตกต่างกัน แต่ทั้งหมดเชื่อมโยงกันด้วยแนวคิดเดียวกัน คือการสร้างพื้นที่ที่เป็นส่วนตัว สมดุล และงดงามอย่างเรียบง่ายเหนือกาลเวลา
