อิฐมอญอำเภอจังหาร เป็นธุรกิจท้องถิ่นที่สืบทอดมากว่า 40 ปี ด้วยทำเลที่ตั้งริมแม่น้ำชี ซึ่งอุดมไปด้วยดินเหนียวคุณภาพดี อำเภอจังหารจึงกลายเป็นแหล่งผลิตอิฐสำคัญของจังหวัดร้อยเอ็ด และมีความผูกพันกับท้องถิ่นอย่างลึกซึ้ง จนถูกบรรจุไว้ในคำขวัญประจำอำเภอ

ผ้าไหมสาเกต ผ้าไหมอัตลักษณ์ของจังหวัดร้อยเอ็ด เป็นแรงบันดาลใจสำคัญในการออกแบบ เราแปลลวดลายผ้าไหมให้กลายเป็น Pattern การก่ออิฐบนผิวอาคาร เพื่อสื่อสารถึงรากเหง้าทางวัฒนธรรมกับผู้มาใช้งาน

ชั้นดาดฟ้าได้รับการออกแบบเป็น Amphitheater กลางแจ้ง ที่นั่งพักผ่อนเหล่านี้จะหันหน้าไปยังหอโหวด ซึ่งสะท้อนภาพลงบนบ่อน้ำด้านล่างได้อย่างงดงาม

เนื่องจากอาคารมีลักษณะกึ่งเปิดโล่ง (Semi-outdoor) การออกแบบจึงบูรณาการระบบ Stack Ventilation ผ่านปล่องลมที่ให้อากาศร้อนระบายขึ้นด้านบน ขณะที่อากาศเย็นไหลเข้ามาแทนที่จากด้านล่าง ส่งผลให้ผู้ใช้งานสามารถใช้พื้นที่ได้อย่างสบายตลอดทั้งวัน

Brick-making in Chanharn District has been a local tradition for over 40 years. Situated along the Chi River, the district is blessed with high-quality clay deposits that have made it one of Roi Et Province’s most significant brick-producing areas — a heritage so deeply rooted in local identity that it is enshrined in the district’s official motto.

Saket silk, the iconic textile of Roi Et Province, served as a key design inspiration. Its traditional patterns were reinterpreted as brickwork compositions on the building’s surface, translating cultural heritage into architectural language that resonates with the local community.

The rooftop level is designed as an open-air amphitheater, where seating areas face toward Hor Wod — the landmark tower whose reflection shimmers beautifully across the pond below.

As the building operates as a semi-outdoor space, the design incorporates a stack ventilation system through a series of air shafts. Warm air rises and escapes through the top of each shaft, drawing cooler air in from below — creating a natural airflow that keeps the space comfortable throughout the day.

Chiang Rung Residence

บ้านพักอาศัย 1 ชั้นที่ตั้งอยู่กลางผืนนากว้างใหญ่ที่แวดล้อมด้วยทิวเขาสูงของอำเภอเวียงเชียงรุ้ง โดยห่างจากตัวเมืองเชียงรายได้ในเวลาเพียงไม่กี่นาที

จากโจทย์ที่ต้องการให้บ้านเงียบให้มากที่สุด จึงเกิดผนังโค้งหนาถึง 40 ซม. ตรงด้านหน้าบ้านเพื่อปกป้องมลพิษทางเสียงจากถนนใหญ่ได้อย่างเงียบสนิท

โรงรถที่มีหลังคาพาดช่วงยาวถึง 14 เมตร เชื่อมต่อกับตัวบ้านผ่านเส้นทางเดินที่รายล้อมด้วยพรรณไม้นานาพันธุ์ ชวนให้ผู้มาเยือนได้ปรับอารมณ์ก่อนก้าวเข้าสู่พื้นที่แห่งความเงียบสงบ

In the midst of vast rice fields in Wiang Chiang Rung District, this single-story residence is surrounded by tall mountains, just a few minutes away from Chiang Rai city.

From the challenge of creating maximum quietude for the house, a curved wall of 40 cm thickness was designed at the front of the house to protect against noise pollution from the main road, resulting in complete silence.

The carport with a roof spanning 14 meters connects to the main house via a walkway embraced by various plant species, inviting visitors to adjust their mood before entering the truly peaceful space.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

จากนักศึกษาที่เคยใช้ห้องสมุดตลอดระยะเวลาที่เรียน ได้มองเห็นว่าห้องสมุดในคณะยังขาดสภาพแวดล้อมที่เอื้ออำนวยให้นักอ่านได้มีพื้นที่อย่างสะดวกสบาย จึงเกิดแนวคิดที่จะออกแบบให้ขอบเขตระหว่างภายในและภายนอกเชื่อมต่อสวนขนาดเล็กที่แทรกตัวเข้ามาในพื้นที่อ่านหนังสือ ทำให้ผู้ใช้งานได้สัมผัสประสบการณ์ผ่านประสาทสัมผัสทั้งห้า ไม่ว่าจะเป็นแสงธรรมชาติที่กรองผ่านใบไม้ เสียงน้ำตก กลิ่นหอมอ่อนๆ จากพืชสมุนไพร และอากาศบริสุทธิ์ที่ได้รับการฟอกจากพืชพรรณ สร้างบรรยากาศที่ผ่อนคลายและกระตุ้นการเรียนรู้

As a student who has used the library throughout my academic years, I observed that the faculty library lacks an environment conducive to comfortable reading spaces. This inspired the concept of designing a space where boundaries between interior and exterior blur, with small gardens integrated into reading areas. Users can experience the environment through all five senses: natural light filtered through foliage, the sound of falling water, subtle fragrances from aromatic herbs, and purified air from vegetation. This creates an atmosphere that simultaneously relaxes and stimulates learning.
