On Friday 8 May, we presented our final-year ARCH 498 projects to our guests at Salt Galata. We discussed the projects and received feedback. Section 1, titled Urgent Care, and Section 2, titled A Future Habitat, both explored the theme of “crises”. We would like to thank Salt Galata for hosting our event, as well as the guest reviewers who joined us for the day. We look forward to seeing you again here next year to discuss projects and approaches.

ARCH 202 Studio recently organized a day trip to Manisa, where students explored examples of contemporary and historical architecture. The itinerary included the Manisa Kurtuluş Museum by Yalın Mimarlık and Manisa Ulu Camii (Grand Mosque).

IUE 4th Year Architectural Design Studio at Salt Galata 
This semester, we explored the shared, diverse, and contingent conditions of architectural production under the theme “crises”. As the culmination of this process, we are hosting a forum featuring project presentations, critical feedback, and thematic discussions. Join us to reflect on the significance of the fourth-year design studio in architectural education and engage in thought-provoking conversations.

The “Histories and Theories of Architecture I” exhibition, featuring term projects by ARCH 203 students, will be on display from 15 April in the ground-floor vitrine of D Block at the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design.

The exhibited works highlight structural elements and stylistic details of selected buildings from different periods of architectural history.
