Being a “slasher” means seeing the world through a multifaceted lens of art, literature, architecture, and street culture.
Through architect Şule Ertürk’s lens, photography reveals a city that is constantly shifting and reassembling itself. Reflections divide it, layers overlap, fragments come together and drift apart. The familiar loses its familiarity; the ordinary sometimes becomes abstract, sometimes almost surreal.
Moving between architecture and photography, the city never appears quite the same twice. Perhaps that is what makes photography so compelling: its ability to uncover new relationships, new meanings, and new possibilities within places we pass through every day.
