Engineers in Namibia now choose CWS100 for the protection of bridge decks, instead of traditional membranes.
The application of hot asphalt on a bridge deck, means we are exposing the deck to temperatures up to 165 degrees Celsius. This kind of heat, is destructive to any traditional waterproofing membrane this is why a protective screeed, several centimeters thick, is installed to protect the membranes from the heat of the hot asphalt.
CWS100 is designed to withstand thermal stress much higher than hot asphalt and does not need a protective concrete layer on top. The result is a structure which is lighter, better protected and with much lower construction cost and time.
Impervious to UV resistance, root pe*******on or abrasion from traffic, CWS100 is ideal for areas such as carparks, bridge decks, wharfs, loading bays, warehouses etc.
