Non traditional recovery of a Victorian Carousel. These lamp shades are traditionally done in off whites and creams. The metallic striped fabric had to be incorporated into the lamp shade to coordinate with the room. Originally the request was for the full shade to be covered this way but the fabric lacked the stretch required. Using it on the crown and the scalloped edge added a few more hours of work but I am very happy with the results.

I suppose brown is a colour too but this recovery job brings sunshine and warmth to the room.

Simple recover for a “no fuss no frills” customer. The fabric chosen, enhances rather than competes with the lamp which is done in a brilliant gold finish.
