CAADRIA(Computer-Aided Architectural Design Research in Asia)

CAADRIA (Computer-Aided Architectural Design Research in Asia) is one of the most influential international organizations in computational design and digital architecture research. Each year, it brings together scholars, architects, and design researchers from around the world to exchange the latest research on computational design, artificial intelligence, digital fabrication, and architectural technologies.
This year, the CAADRIA International Conference will be hosted by National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU). The workshops are chaired by Shih-Yuan Wang, Co-founder of the ROSO Robotic Construction Lab and Associate Professor at NYCU, who has coordinated resources across institutions and research fields to organize this year’s international workshop program.
The workshops will be jointly organized by three universities—National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Feng Chia University, and National Yunlin University of Science and Technology—forming an international platform for cross-institutional collaboration and hands-on exchange.
Workshops hosted at NYCU and NYUST will cover cutting-edge topics including AI × Architecture, AR × Robotics × Construction, and Urban Environmental Simulation, as well as discussion-based digital design workshops. The instructors come from internationally renowned institutions and practices, including Foster + Partners, RMIT University, and the National University of Singapore, bringing forward the latest research perspectives and professional experience.
In addition, three workshops on “Robotics × Construction × Art” will take place at the ROSO Robotic Construction Lab, focusing on the integration of robotic construction, digital fabrication, and art. These workshops will guide participants through innovative workflows from design to physical making. The instructors come from leading academic institutions and industry in Switzerland and the United States, sharing cutting-edge research and practical expertise.
Through hands-on activities and interdisciplinary exchange, participants will gain deeper insights into the potential of AI and robotic technologies in architecture and artistic creation, and collectively explore new possibilities for the future of construction.
