山厂建築工作室於2015年在台灣，台北市成立。 我們致力於以“建築”為手段，進行跨領域設計，住宅型態、 商業空間、裝置藝術、 原型設計、品牌風格、策展規劃等，我們追尋空間想像的可能，材質與形構的協調，自然與人文的並存。
山厂，解岸一字。厂，意指在山與懸崖之旁一岩石突出覆蓋之處，人可居住的地方，也為廠之古字，為用機械生產製造生活器物之所。精神上我們取代廠一意，存在於厂字形之中成為“在山邊岩石突出處做設計” 之人，欲借此之意跳脫框架，感受自然與最邊界的事物，嘗試各種建築的可能性之延伸。
Antre + Architects is established in 2015, Taipei, Taiwan. We are committed to “architecturing” as a means of interdisciplinary design which encompass
es, residential and commercial spaces, installation art, prototype design, brand styles, and exhibition planning. The characters “山 “ and “厂 “ can be translated to mountain and cavern respectively, these characters can be found in the decomposition of the character “岸 “, or shore. “厂 “, describes an extrusion of rock besides a mountain or cliff which can give shelter for man, and is also the ancient character for “廠”, a place where everyday products are designed and manufactured. We substitute this ancient meaning with our state of mind, allowing this definition to exist in the form of the new character “厂 “, thus can be understood as “designers who dwell upon a cavernous mountain”. Our ideology borrows from this character in hopes to abandon the secular frame, we bring ourselves closer to nature and to the fringes of our world, and to attempt all possibilities of architectural extension.
