It's been way too long. We got part of the estimates for the house in. The bulk of the cost really can't be seen. It's the infrastructure. New electrical wires, mains, switches, and more. New plumbing for the entire flat. New concrete work, sheet rock, ceiling work. New wood work. Yup, all of this, no one can really see it, but it really is more than an arm and a leg. But once we have a solid foundation down, we get to the fun stuff.

After looking at literally hundreds of photos of chairs, desks, TV consoles and tables, the options are limitless. But I think what will work out in the end for Red Brick House is something timeless, classic, yet stylish. And of course who doesn't want durability. Simple, yet contemporary keep coming back.

Current layout sketch drafts call for 5 ensuites on the first level, 3 bedrooms on the basement level with a shared bathroom on the first level. Reviews came back with some commentary on revising the shared bathroom. Ken is great at adjustments - can't wait to see the updates.

Drafted Autocad sketches of the proposed layout for Red Brick House. So neat to see the visual from an aerial perspective. Tentatively, plans are for 5 ensuites and three individual bedrooms with shared bathrooms. Very exciting...And now, sketches are under review from the board.

Chuan Lian Center (全聯福利中心) grocery store at Shandao Temple MRT station exit 5 has an excellent selection of natural and organic goods. Impressive selection. This is easily the grocery centre for the area.

At a rough 10 minute walk, the Shandao Temple MRT Station is the closest MRT station to Red Brick House. Being on the Blue Bannan Line is super convenient as it is the line that connects major attractions through the city of Taipei and beyond.
