At the recent launch of the Modernist Architecture at DARCH/Old boma. The exhibition explores how architecture was used to depict the socio-political transformation of 5 newly independent African countries during the the period of the 60s and the 70s. The exhibition is curated by renowned Architect and Prof. Manuel Herz, in collaboration with DARCH, Goethe Institut Tanzania, Architectural Association of Tanzania and Ardhi University. Soon there will be an extension of the exhibition to showcase iconic Tanzanian Architecture of the same era. The exhibition will be availalble until 31 May 2019. Karibuni sana!

OBITUARY
It is with deep regrets that we inform you of the untimely death of AAT Member Arch. Renalda Damas Ngowi who passed away on 7th Nov 2018 at Muhimbili Hospital, Dar es Salaam.

The funeral arrangements for the Late Architect are being held at her residence in Makumbusho near bus stand Kinondoni Dar es Salaam.
The last respect of the deceased Architect is going to be held on 9th Nov 2018. The ceremony will commence with a Holly Mass at Mwananyamala Roman Catholic Church at 1.00pm - 3.00pm and there after she will be transported to Moshi - Uru Kishumundu for the Funeral on Saturday 10th Nov 2018 from 10.00am.

Architects are encouraged to attend the Funeral Ceremony.

MAY THE ALMIGHTY GOD REST HER SOUL IN ETERNAL PEACE. AMEN.
