[Ua Below] The first modern Orthodox cathedral in Ukraine.

We at Aranchii Architects designed it after winning the competition in 2023. Construction is set to begin as early as 2026.

The cathedral merges two fundamental components: reverence for the history of the Ukrainian church and the evolution of construction technologies.

Historically, ecclesiastical architecture has always been at the forefront of engineering thought, pushing the boundaries of building technologies. Continuing this tradition, we drew inspiration from the five-domed churches inherent to Ukrainian culture and the distinctive domes of Saint Sophia’s Cathedral in Kyiv, which trace their roots back to Byzantine church architecture.

At the same time, the shell connecting the domes is inherently close to the so-called minimal self-supporting surfaces, formed, among other things, by catenary (chain) lines. The shape a chain takes when sagging, once inverted, transitions from working perfectly in tension to working perfectly in compression, creating an highly eﬃcient structural system.

The church is luminous, featuring intentionally emphasised vertical articulations. It is minimalist in its colour and the fluid smoothness of its surfaces (the domes are deliberately an extension of the overall form, contributing to geometric integrity). The light permeability, achieved through smoothly elongated perforations, creates an almost lace-like sacred pattern, giving the building a sense of transcendence.

Thus, the Cathedral of St George the Victorious in Rivne will combine our tradition with modern achievements. After all, buildings that become cultural heritage are those that re-evaluate history while introducing innovation. Such is the path of continuous development — honouring cultural continuity while creating the new.

Перший в Україні сучасний православний собор.

Ми в Aranchii Architects спроектували його вигравши конкурс 2023 року. Будівництво розпочнеться вже у 2026.

Собор поєднав 2 основні складові: пошану до історії української церкви та розвиток будівельних технологій.

Здавна церковна архітектура була в авангарді інженерної думки, розширюючи межі будівельних технологій. Продовжуючи цю традицію ми надихались притаманними українській культурі п'ятиглавими храмами та оригінальними банями Софії Київської, що беруть свої витоки у візантійському храмобудівництві.

Разом з тим, оболонка, що поєднує бані, близька по своїй суті до так званих мінімальних самонесучих поверхонь, які утворюються зокрема і катенарними (ланцюговими) лініями. Форма, яку має ланцюг при провисанні, після перевертання перетворюється з ідеальної роботи на розтяг в ідеальну роботу на стиск, створюючи ефективну конструктивну систему.

Храм світлий з навмисне підкресленими вертикальними членуваннями. Простий кольором та плавністю поверхонь (бані спеціально є продовженням загальної форми сприяючи цілісності геометрії). Світлопроникність, завдяки плавно витягнутим перфораціям, створює майже мереживний сакральний візерунок, надаючи храму відчуття трансцендентності.

Таким чином Собор Георгія Переможця у Рівному поєднає нашу традицію з сучасними досягненнями. Адже надбанням культури стають ті споруди, які переосмислюють історію додаючи інновації. Таким є шлях невпинного розвитку - вшановати тяглість культури, створюючи нове.

[UA below] The flagship KLO petrol station in Kyiv is strategically located on a key transportation artery, Mykola Bazhana Avenue, which connects Boryspil International Airport to the city centre.

The south-facing facade of the central building with the smart hotel, which looks out onto Bazhana Avenue, is mitigated by an additional layer of facade that cuts direct sunlight, instead providing diffused light throughout the day.

This, combined with other energy-efficient measures, reduces the CO2 equivalent emissions footprint. The primary material of the interior space, eco-friendly plywood, sets the standard for selecting materials that adhere to the cradle-to-cradle concept.

Флагманський АЗК KLO у Києві стратегічно розташований на головній транспортній артерії — проспекті Миколи Бажана, що з'єднує міжнародний аеропорт «Бориспіль» із центром міста.

Південний фасад центральної будівлі зі смарт-готелем, що виходить на проспект, обладнаний додатковим фасадним шаром. Це рішення дозволяє відсікати прямі сонячні промені, забезпечуючи натомість м’яке розсіяне світло протягом усього дня.
У поєднанні з іншими енергоефективними заходами це дозволяє суттєво зменшити викиди двоокису вуглецю. Основним матеріалом інтер’єру обрано екологічну фанеру, що відповідає концепції циклічного дизайну cradle-to-cradle.

[UA below] Our latest project: Formatsia Vinnytsia Industrial Park.

Despite their shared horizontal forms, both buildings integrate into the space in their own unique way:

📌 The first creates a striking and functional (protective) cantilever over the entrances, achieved through complex facade geometry.
📌 The second offers a sophisticated first-floor terrace by means of a wider ground-floor volume.
📌 Dynamic morphogenesis ensures a seamless transition from horizontal to vertical surfaces, while rounded corners provide physical fluidity and enhanced visual accessibility.
📌 This is architecture that doesn't just stand still; it moves in harmony with people.

Наш новий проєкт: Індустріальний Парк Формація Вінниця. Попри спільні горизонтальні форми, обидві будівлі інтегрується в простір по-своєму:

📌 Перша створює ефектну та ефективну (захисну) консоль над входами завдяки складній геометрії фасаду.
📌 Друга пропонує затишну терасу на першому поверсі за рахунок розширеного об’єму основи.
📌 Динамічний морфогенез забезпечує плавний перехід від горизонталей до вертикалей, а закруглені кути додають простору фізичної м’якості та візуальної відкритості.
📌 Архітектура не є просто застиглою, а рухається разом з людьми.

[UA below] Tween Coexistence is a project of business park hall, absolutely white, that incorporates accurately defined functioning fluidity and provides form curvature expression by shadow transitions. The purpose of reception desk transforms into waiting zone, which, in turn, transmutes into the elevator hall.

[UA below] The Formatsia industrial park project in Lviv is located within the city limits and aims to establish a new model for a manufacturing and public environment, integrating industry, education, recreation, and interaction.

An "oasis" space is formed at its heart — a shaded, green plaza with water features, sports facilities, event spaces, a shelter, and opportunities for outdoor leisure or work.

Formatsia is a project rooted in long-term thinking.

Проєкт індустріального парку Формація Львів розташований у межах міста й покликаний сформувати нову модель виробничо-громадського середовища, що поєднує індустрію, освіту, відпочинок та взаємодію.

У центрі формується простір "оази" - затінений, зелений майдан із водними елементами, спортом, подіями, укриттям і можливістю перепочити чи попрацювати на відкритому повітрі.

Формація - це проєкт із довгостроковим мисленням.
