17 січня відзначається Міжнародний день канатної дороги, що був присвячений до видачі першого патенту на цей винахід у 1871 році.

ІСТОРІЯ ЗАСНУВАННЯ ДНЯ КАНАТНОЇ ДОРОГИ
Засновником проекту став американець британського походження Ендрю Сміт Голідей, головним інженером – Вільям Еппелшмеймер, а патент на конструкцію оформив Ебнер Даблдей.

Їм знадобилося 2 роки, щоб побудувати вагони, які чіплялись на удосконалені міцні шахтарські канати за допомогою спеціального механізму. Це було схоже на суміш трамвая та фунікулера. Першими у світі пасажирами канатної дороги, яка мала назву Clay Street Hill Railroad, стали мешканці Сан-Франциско. Вони змогли скористатися послугою 1 вересня 1873 року.

Найдовша у світі канатна дорога «Хон Тхом» має майже 7900 м та знаходиться у В’єтнамі. Вона поєднує два острови – Фукуок та Хон Тхом. З кабінок відкриваються неймовірні пейзажі, адже більша частина маршруту проходить над Південнокитайським морем та серед гір. Це дуже популярний туристичний маршрут.

Lezecky park is a project executed by Rope Park, an adventure park in Slovakia.
▪️Client: hotel complex
▪️Goal: increase visitors, diversify leisure activities.
▪️Duration: constructed over two seasons
▪️Profitability: profitable after one season.

✅We constructed the following in the park:

Mega Swing - 15 meters;
Observation tower (Troll Tower) - 15 meters;
The tower includes a climbing wall with two tracks and an automatic TRUBLUE safety system;
Free fall - QUICKjump system by Head Rush, jump height of 21 meters;
Children's rope course over 80 meters long;
Two routes of medium and high difficulty, each over 320 meters long;
Three zip lines are stretched within the park.
