Harvest Garden

Harvest Garden Gardening for the soul. All about how we garden on our country plot. I'm not trying to teach you, I'm just sharing how we do it.

Planted eggplant seedlings.
Planted the first bed of eggplants (12 bushes), grew seedlings indoors.
When planting seedlings, I did everything the same as in previous years, the only change was that instead of compost, I used Trichoderma.
Previously, I only started tying up eggplant bushes in August, when the bushes began to break due to the large harvest and this was a big problem.
This year, thanks to this miracle net, I tied up all the seedlings at once and at the end covered the entire bed with a shading net (I couldn’t film this process, it was already too dark).
You can see how I covered our vegetable beds with shading netting in our previous videos.

Good harvest of coriander.
For the first time in my six years of gardening, I managed to harvest coriander on time.
I used to constantly forget about the coriander and it would grow too big, the stems would become tough and unfit for consumption.

Planted corn seedlings.
This year I decided to grow corn seedlings indoors and plant them outdoors when the weather conditions were favorable.
At the bottom of each hole I threw three bean seeds and some trichoderma.
This is my first time using Trichoderma; I add it when planting all the seedlings.
I mulched the corn with freshly mown lawn grass to reduce weeds in the bed and to retain moisture.
I don't know yet what this bed of zucchini and corn will look like, but I think it will look really beautiful in the summer :)

Building new tomato beds.
Today we continued construction of our new tomato beds.
Unfortunately, we didn't capture the entire process.
We were so tired from working in the garden this week that we decided to take a short day off.
Tomorrow we'll finish filming a video about how we built this tomato bed.

I took apart the old trellis.
I made this trellis and tomato beds six years ago, and during this time we have managed to grow several tons of tomatoes in this place.
Unfortunately, the pine boards had completely rotted during this time, and I decided to redo everything, but with the new knowledge gained over six years of my gardening.
I still have seven new tomato beds to make (today we'll film a video about how I make them), and after I finish and plant the seedlings, I'll start building a new, more convenient trellis for tomatoes.
Friends, I will show everything in our next videos.

Unusual bouquet for my beloved wife.
This is the first time I've given my beloved wife such a bouquet :)
Before, I didn’t even know that horseradish has such beautiful and fragrant flowers.
My neighbors told me that if I don't trim these flowers, the bushes won't have any leaves this season, and we really need horseradish leaves for preserving vegetables.

I miscalculated the amount of dill.
I didn’t expect the dill to grow so well this year, even though I sowed it very thickly on purpose.
We will freeze the first bed of dill for ourselves for the winter, and the second one will have to be given to friends and neighbors.

Very late radish.
Almost two months have passed since I sowed this radish; I sowed it on March 26th.
The radishes sprouted after seven days, but it got very cold here and they didn’t grow at all; April was very cold with night frosts down to -4C.
I thought there wouldn't be a harvest at all, but today we harvested radishes from our first small bed.
There's not much of it, but the radish is very tasty :)

Haste makes waste.
Friends, I apologize for this video.
Today we wanted to make a detailed video for you about how I plant overgrown tomato seedlings.
The forecast called for cloudy weather today, but when I started planting tomatoes, the wind dispersed all the clouds and I was worried that the seedlings would get burned in the sun.
That's why I was in a great hurry and made a lot of mistakes.
I still have 90 tomato plants to plant and we will definitely shoot a better quality video.

The third bed of bell peppers.
Last night I planted my third bed of bell peppers, and this morning I mowed the lawn and mulched it with freshly cut grass.
I set up three slug traps (my invention from the year before last), they work great and don’t leave slugs and snails a single chance.
I use "Ulicid" as a filler for traps.
Ulicid is a highly effective organic product for protecting plants from slugs and snails.
Ingredients: Based on iron phosphate and food components (grain mixture, pepper, mustard, wood ash, hops, and sugar).
How it works: The bait attracts the pests, and the iron phosphate destroys their mucous membranes, causing dehydration.
Safety: The product is safe for people, pets, birds, bees, and earthworms.

Friends, I've shown you how I plant bell pepper seedlings many times before, so I didn't film it this time, but if you're interested, I'll definitely make a detailed video.
I haven't planted even half of the seedlings I have yet.

Experiment in Growing Potatoes.
Friends, at the moment I would not recommend you to grow potatoes in this way, it is a labor-intensive process and takes a lot of time.
To plant potatoes in one barrel (with a volume of one cubic meter), I needed four hours, about 200 kg of horse manure and two bales of wheat straw.
Lately, I've been seeing a lot of videos of similar potato cultivation, generated by artificial intelligence, and it looks so simple.
But in reality, it's absolutely not.
But you must agree with me that we would all really like to see what the result will be in real life.
That's why we decided to make this video and will show all the progress in the future, right up until the potato harvest.
We wish you all good harvests and good health!
