Metropolitan office Development.
Plac Piłsudskiego, Warsaw, 2003.

The building extends to the perimeter of the site to establish an appropriate presence on the square, while an open public space, 50 metres wide at its heart, maintains pedestrian routes through the site. The drum-like space provides the social focus of the scheme and is lined with cafes and restaurants. At its centre is a dramatic water feature, surrounded by a ring of mature trees. The circular motif continues with a ring of light, cantilevered from the first floor of the building, which provides illumination for evening al fresco dining, and a gently glowing halo of light around the top of the building.

Visionary administrative building.
Prague. Architect: Jakub Cígler Architekti, 2018.

Seven-storey office building which, thanks to the glazed facade, mainly uses daylight. In addition to office space, there is a restaurant, kindergarten, medical center with a pharmacy. The outdoor areas offer a multifunctional playground and a garden.

There is a 140 m long running circuit on the roof! Visionary is the first office building in the Czech Republic to have this convenience. Another attraction is the self-service laundry and drying room inside the building.

The public space of the building is organised along two transit axes. The first separates the commercial block from the research library and extra collection storage space. The commercial block, which resembles a city street, houses shops, coffee shops, changing rooms, bookshop, and exhibition space.

The second, perpendicular, spatial axis designates the academic and research areas of the building. As you climb the steps that lead to the entrance of the library space, you metaphorical transition from one world to another – a passage marked by the Latin inscription "Hinc omnia" above the entrance. The grand staircase that marks the entrance to the World of Knowledge culminates with four statues of famous Polish philosophers and thinkers of the Modern period: Kazimierz Twardowski, Jan Łukasiewicz, Alfred Tarski, and Stanisław Leśniewski. These statues are also a modern interpretation of the ancient propylaea and refer back to the porticos of Ancient Greek and Roman temples of science.

Warsaw University Library.
Architects: Marek Budzyński and Zbigniew Badowski, 1993

The facade on the Dobra Street side was monumental in nature thanks to the installation of eight panels, symbolizing pages of books, present fragments of texts: the old Polish Exposition of the virtues by Jan Kochanowski, the old Russian Novels of the Past from the beginning of the 12th century, the Greek Phaedrus of Plato, the Arabic Book of Animals by Al-Jahiz, the Hebrew Book of Ezekiel, the Sanskrit Rig Veda and two notations: mathematical-physical and musical (from the Etude b-moll by Karol Szymanowski).
At the entrance to the building - Poland’s only example of 19th-century library grid construction, became a symbolic link between the past and the present.
The entrance to the Library from the hidden passage is crowned by the BUW symbol: an open book of patinated bronze with the inscription Hinc Omnia (hence all). At the top of the stairs leading to the catalogue hall on level 1 rise four columns of concrete with sculptures by Adam Myjak, representing eminent Polish philosophers of the Lviv-Warsaw School: Kazimierz Twardowski, Jan Łukasiewicz, Alfred Tarski, and Stanislaw Leśniewski; the inscriptions adorning the columns contain extracts of texts from their works.
