Master Your Work

Without blinking an eye, what can those close to you say you’re exceptionally good at? If your employer can fire you, it means you’re more or less like everyone else.

While we are all dispensable, you shouldn’t be easily replaceable. You should refine your attitude, skills and work ethic that your employer struggles to get your replacement.

If you’re in business or private practice, your customer is your employer. Your customer can fire you by spending his money elsewhere. If you’re losing customers, you haven’t mastered your craft yet.

Pull up your socks. Step up your game. Refine your skills. Learn every day. Be humble enough to learn what seems obvious like customer experience, people skills and personal growth.

Exceed expectations. Deliver more than you promised. Always go the extra mile. The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra. Let your work speak for you.

My Walking Iris/Orchid grass[Trimezia fosteriana]

The common name, Walking Iris' is derived from the plants' natural traits. New plantlets are formed at the end of each flower stalk and once flowering is complete the stalk falls over. At that point, a new plant begins to grow. This leads to the reference that the plant walks. Other common names include the word 'apostle', which refers to the undocumented belief that the plant will not flower until 12 or more leaves are present, referring to the 12 apostles.

Growing from a corm or a rhizome, the walking iris is a genus of about 20 plants in the Iridaceae (iris) family found all over the tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas. Its genus comes from the Greek word 'tri' and 'meze' which translates to 'three' and 'greater'.

Its flowers appear to be a cross between an orchid and an iris. The short-lived blooms last only one day. However, they will bloom continously for an extended period of time through out when mature.

Its habitat is the pre-mountainous forests, where it grows on trees in forests or along rivers at an altitude of 200-1500 meters. It is a hot to warm growing, epiphytic, medium sized orchid. Aerangis kotschyana blooms in a rainy season between April and August on a pendant, 30 to 45 cm long, many flowered inflorescence with 8 to 20, fragrant, waxy flowers with a pinkish brown, corkscrew like spiral to the lower part of the pink spur.
