We want to talk CLUTTER in our bedrooms.
Imagine going to sleep every night and waking up each morning in a clean, clutter-free bedroom.
Many will tell you the kitchen is the most important space to keep neat and tidy, but others believe the bedroom is the most important room in your home to keep neat. That's because you do the important task of sleeping in your bedroom and every article you read about people with sleeping problems contains the phrase "peaceful surroundings." Keeping things neat and tidy is the first step in clearing out clutter and organizing this space.
Whether you have a traditional bedroom set up, or if you live in a studio apartment, keeping the area around your bed clutter-free is important. This means keeping your night tables and under bed storage areas neat.
-Start at your night tables, removing items that need to be trashed or recycled. Do the same for the tops of your dressers and other surfaces.
-Place any items that are out of place in the catch-all bin. It helps to start at your bed and move outward.
-Place dirty clothes and linens in the hamper and return any clean ones to the closet.
Tidy the items on your night table and other surfaces.
-Go through the drawers on your nightstand and dressers doing a quick clutter sweep into the recycling bin, hamper, and catch-all bin.
Go through the catch-all bin to return items to their proper places.
