We did a few upgrades to a customers home. Replaced a very old screw in fuse Electrical panel with a new 40 circuit breaker panel. They wanted to move the washer and dryer to the converted garage space. Only problem how does one drill a 4-1/4 inch hole thru a 12 inch thick brick and block wall. You see the tool that I used to complete the task.

Working on a new Master Bath for one of our Customers. It was a 24 year old bathroom. Now a new tub with floor mounted faucet, new stall shower with frameless shower enclosure.

Those of you living in older homes with wooden columns should take a look at them and make sure they are not starting to rot on the bottom. I recently replaced this column for one of my customers. It was rotting about 6 inches up from the bottom and the staves that keep it together were starting to come apart. The column was supporting the corner of the porch. We used a polycast column as a replacement.

Here is a interior upgrade we just did. Some paint, chair rail, shelves and pictures hung. Nice homey feel to the space.

Received a call from a Customer about replacing some rotted deck boards. This is Pressure treated material and most people think it can’t be damaged like this. There is no airflow under this part of the deck. Also the person who built the deck used the wrong type of nails to secure the decking material to the floor joists.

I received a call from a new Customer who was seeing some mold on the drywall in the bedroom around the window area. Under inspection it was discovered that the installation of the vinyl slider windows was causing the water infiltration. To make the job more difficult, the home has the original asbestos siding from when the house was built. We removed the existing aluminum capping and the asbestos siding. Fabricated new aluminum capping with the required water shedding detail. Applied the butyl backed weather proofing tape, trimmed the asbestos siding to fit. Caulked the new capping to seal. Confident there will be no more water coming into the house.

I received a call from a Customer a short time ago that they were selling their home. The buyer was getting the Morgage thru FHA as they were willing to give them the most money. Upon inspection it was discovered that a second floor twin double hung window frame was completely rotted out and had to be replaced before the Morgage could go thru. I was only given 15 days to get the window unit replaced or 3 settlements would be affected. The lead time for new windows is normally 4 to 6 weeks. So given no other options I fabricated a new complete window frame with an extended depth exterior sill fabricated at my shop. Found 2 vinyl replacement units to fit the new frames. Made the trim of the new unit fit around the built in bookcases. Capped the exterior wood trim with aluminum. They all will be going to settlement tomorrow. The customers are moving to Florida and their settlement is next week. This is what I have been doing for 30 years in Business. Solving problems for my Customers.

How about lighting up some dark spaces in your home. I have installed 9 of these units in 2 different homes this past week.
