While designing and then remodeling a primary bathroom project at this Harvard residence, we were asked to design and build a complete renovation on the rest of the house. The project included an addition with en suite, an extra large garage, a workout room with radiant heat, attic space reconfigured into a common room and bedroom, a walk in closet with custom cabinetry, 3 bathrooms, and a new kitchen (which warrants its own post). The exterior of the home was detailed with a new front porch, and black standing seam metal roof including snow guards.

Quartz countertops paired with custom white cabinetry and custom LED lighting, a breakfast bar, an island, and a new slider are the main features of this kitchen remodel in Hudson. A special layout was designed for the base cabinetry and custom white cabinets, with glass doors featured on several upper cabinets.

The kitchen, dining room, and family room of this home were combined into one open space, a Great Room. Creating a Great Room in your home is a sensible way to maximize quality time with your family members and guests – allowing for mingling across the spaces while not overcrowding those busy in the kitchen.

At this recent design and build renovation in Acton, the kitchen space was redesigned and a sunroom was added. Opening up the dining room and living room and adding a 19ft custom Brady Built Sunroom was made possible by engineering a beam system that supported the roof. The kitchen features custom stained maple cabinetry by Medallion Cabinetry accompanied by quartz countertops, specialty backsplash tile with USB connections at the countertop, an electric range with induction cooktop, and a recessed 2nd wall oven. The renovation also showcases LED recessed lighting and engineered wood flooring throughout with a ceiling fan and outdoor lighting.

At this home in Littleton, we renovated a kitchen adjoining a window filled family room. This beautiful open space created a great room, allowing for family and guests to socialize while preparing and cooking meals.  The kitchen features a custom painted island in antique black with white surrounding cabinetry and granite countertops.  It also has built in appliances with task lighting!

This early 1980s home was originally divided into a kitchen, dining room, and family room. Acton Woodworks designed a new layout to create a great room by incorporating these rooms into one open and flowing space.

The first photo shows the Appalachian cherry cabinetry with quartz countertops alongside built-in appliances and an undermount sink. In the second photo, the added dining room cabinetry is for both display and additional pantry storage. The final image is a perspective drawing of the remodel’s design.

Acton Woodworks loves renovating and restoring historic homes. This kitchen renovation at a historic Framingham House (built in early 1700s) displays soapstone countertops alongside raised panel inset cabinetry. We looked to the existing historical features of the house to guide the design and details of the remodel.
