Joan Robinson-Whitaker, ASID Is an award-winning interior designer with over 25 years experience in both residential and commercial design. A consummate professional, her work has received numerous awards and has been published in Honolulu Magazine, Hawaii Home and Remodeling, Island Home, and TV news-set make over for KHON. Before co-founding Designer for a Day in 2008, Joan worked for:

-Responsible for full service interior design, including purchasing for Castle Resorts & Hotels

Continued to be a partnership with her architect husband, John, in Robinson-Whitaker Design. Education:
Joan is a longtime local of Hawaii, graduating from Kalani High School. Joan received her Interior Design degree from the University of California, which included two years of study at the well-respected American College of Lucerne, Switzerland. After completing her education and the proscribed years of experience in the field, she was eligible to sit for the rigorous national NCIDQ exam, qualifying her to become a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).
