WHY YOUR CLOSETS ARE FULL BUT YOUR HEART FEELS HEAVY
I want you to think about that one box in the back of your closet. For me, it used to be a bin full of expensive, never-used hobby supplies. Every single time I looked at it, a tiny voice whispered, “You wasted money on that, and you gave up.”
I wasn’t keeping the supplies because I actually wanted to use them; I was keeping them to delay the guilt of letting them go.
Has that ever happened to you?
We look around our homes and judge ourselves for the “mess,” but what we are usually looking at is a physical manifestation of heavy emotions. The jeans that haven’t fit in five years represent a past identity. The unused gadgets represent the fear of “what if I need this?” The gifts we hide in drawers represent pure obligation.
Take a look at the quote in the graphic above. 𝙒𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙝𝙤𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙛𝙛, 𝙬𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙝𝙤𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨.
When you realize that clearing your physical space isn’t about being perfectly neat, but rather about setting yourself free from emotional baggage, the entire process shifts. It becomes an act of healing instead of an exhausting chore.
