What wonderful surprises a bit of spring rain can bring…reminders of native seeds sprinkled in the barren soil of my neglected sideyard last fall. Such little effort if mom nature provides the shower…and this year a repeat performance!

Unplanted milkweed (Asclepias fascicularis and tuberosa) leftover from a client job, has become a nursery for six Monarch caterpillars in my backyard. What a gift! Feeling like a child again at this wonderful discovery. (Support for why I often slip a milkweed or two into every design.)
