To whoever reported my car the second they saw it in a disabled spot… I genuinely hope that felt as satisfying as it seemed for you. 😭

I pulled into Target, ran in real quick to grab ONE thing, and by the time I came back out my car was already being towed like it had been waiting for hours instead of minutes.

No warning. No ticket. Just straight to tow truck mode in what felt like no time at all.

And I’ve gotta ask—do some people just sit in parking lots waiting for the exact moment they can report someone? Because the speed this happened was honestly wild.

I wasn’t parked there for long. I wasn’t wandering around the store for ages. I was gone for less time than it takes to decide what to buy in the checkout line.

What made it even more frustrating is how quickly it all escalated into a full tow situation instead of any kind of warning or ticket first.

Now I’m stuck dealing with fees, paperwork, and losing my whole afternoon over something that lasted just a few minutes.

It’s just been one of those situations where everything snowballed way faster than expected. 😅

🤔 Am I wrong for walking out of a restaurant because of a tipping sign on the front door?

For context: I always tip. 💵
20% minimum. More if the service is great. I've worked service jobs myself, so I understand how important tips can be.

But yesterday I walked up to a restaurant and saw a giant handwritten sign taped to the front window:

📝 "Our servers make $3.50/hr... If you can't afford to tip, you can't afford to dine out."

I read it, stopped, turned around, and left. 🚶‍♂️

Here's my issue:

I'm happy to reward good service. 👍
I'm not happy being guilt-tripped before I've even seen a menu, met a server, or ordered a drink.

The sign didn't say:
⭐ "Please support our hardworking staff."
⭐ "Great service deserves great tips."

Instead, it basically said:
💰 "Pay our payroll or you're a bad person."

At some point, isn't paying employees a living wage the responsibility of the business owner? 🤷‍♂️

If your entire business model depends on emotionally pressuring customers the moment they walk through the door, maybe the problem isn't the customers.

I didn't leave because I don't tip.
I left because I don't like being shamed into tipping before any service has even been provided. 😒

So what's your take?

Or is a restaurant that posts signs like this just asking customers to cover for a business model that isn't working?

I just fired my plumber and now he's threatening to sue me. He installed bare copper pipe directly in the dirt and insisted that's "standard practice." Maybe I'm not a plumber, but I've always been told soil can corrode copper over time unless it's properly sleeved or wrapped. When I questioned it, he demanded $5,000 for the job and called me a "Karen" for wanting the pipe protected. I refused to pay until the issue is addressed, and now apparently I'm the bad guy. Am I missing something here, or would this raise red flags for you too?
