As we celebrate the Fourth of July and the 250th birthday of the United States, all of us at Southwest Custom Build want to take a moment to reflect on what an incredible milestone this is.

America has never been a nation where everyone agrees on everything. We come from different backgrounds, hold different opinions, and see the world through different experiences. Yet, despite our differences, we all share the privilege of calling this extraordinary country home. That shared bond is greater than anything that divides us.

For 250 years, the United States has remained a place where opportunity is possible. We are blessed with freedoms that many around the world still long for—the freedom to speak openly, worship according to our faith, pursue our dreams, own property, build businesses, and provide a better future for our families. The United States continues to be home to one of the world’s largest economies, some of the finest universities and healthcare innovations, and countless opportunities for those willing to work hard and serve others. While no nation is perfect, we are incredibly fortunate to live in a country where hope, innovation, and opportunity continue to thrive.

Above all, we are grateful to God for His many blessings upon this nation throughout its history. Through times of triumph and times of trial, His faithfulness has sustained us. As we celebrate this historic anniversary, we pray that God will continue to bless and protect the United States, grant wisdom to our leaders, strengthen our communities, and guide us to remain one nation under God.

Happy Father’s Day from Southwest Custom Build

Today, we celebrate the fathers and father figures who help build the foundations of our families every single day.

A father’s role goes far beyond a title. They are protectors when we need safety, counselors when we need guidance, therapists when life gets heavy, and coaches who encourage us to keep going when things get tough. They are the handymen fixing what’s broken, the helpers who always show up, the cheerleaders who believe in us even when we doubt ourselves, and the problem-solvers who somehow always find a way.

They teach us the value of hard work, integrity, resilience, and love—not just through words, but through their actions. Whether they’re building a home, coaching a game, helping with homework, offering advice, or simply being present, their impact is felt in countless ways that often go unnoticed.

At Southwest Custom Build, we understand the importance of building strong foundations. The same care, dedication, and craftsmanship that go into creating a home are the qualities so many fathers and father figures bring to their families every day.

I want to take a moment to sincerely thank Derrick and Melissa for the trust they placed in us to bring their project back to life. Re-staining and sealing an existing colored pad takes vision, patience, and a willingness to believe in the process—and they gave us exactly that.

It’s always an honor to work with people who not only value quality craftsmanship but also trust the team behind it. Projects like these are more than just work—they’re collaborations built on communication, respect, and shared pride in the final result.

Seeing that pad restored and renewed was incredibly rewarding, and it wouldn’t have been possible without Derrick and Melissa’s confidence in what we do. 🙌
