Short story time: I’ve rendered a lot of different things over the last 10+ years. Interiors, exteriors, cyberpunk scenes, sculptures… there’s very few things I haven’t modeled in 3D and rendered. One thing I haven’t ever done though, is create my “Barbie Dream House” of sorts. The whole reason I got into 3D is because I love the idea of creating images that are tangible, without them being real. Seeing them coming to reality is just a cherry on top but the endless possibilities inside of a computer excite me to no end. I’ve never modeled/rendered something that represents a dream house for me. Also, weirdly enough, have never rendered any winter scenes. So, here’s a shot. I’ll probably drop this one in pieces. Inspired by a lake I’ve always loved to hike to in northern New Mexico. I’ve always wondered what it would be like to live up there… The master suite needs tweaking. Might also take a stab a modeling a bald peak with rocks in the distance. Who knows. Thanks for reading, I hope these images transport you to the same place.
