Congratulations to Jaynes Corporation and the entire project team on taking home the Best Buildings 2026 from AGC New Mexico for the CHRISTUS St. Vincent Cancer Care Center.

H+Mdg was proud to work alongside Jaynes and GBBN Architects on this oncology facility in New Mexico. Jaynes Corporation’s craftsmanship and construction expertise were essential in bringing this complex facility to life, navigating specialized treatment spaces and intricate healthcare systems to deliver a project that truly serves the community.

The result is a facility that consolidates cancer treatment services under one roof while creating a welcoming, healing environment for patients and families. That outcome does not happen without a builder who is as committed to quality as the design team is.

It was also a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow architects and design professionals – sharing perspectives, building relationships, and engaging with the broader community that makes this industry so rewarding.

The elevAte design and honor awards were the highlight of the evening, a celebration of the outstanding work happening across New Mexico. We love seeing the talent and creativity of this community, and it left us inspired heading into the rest of the year.

H+Mdg recently attended the Jeff Harnar Awards, one of New Mexico’s most celebrated honors in architecture. Architects and design professionals traveled from all corners of the country to be part of the evening, a testament to just how much this award means to our community and the broader world of Southwest architecture.

This year, we had the opportunity to hear from Lawrence Scarpa as the keynote speaker, sharing his perspective on architecture’s role in shaping communities. His work and insights set the tone for a meaningful night of recognition and conversation among some of the Southwest’s leading design minds.
