HVAC guy told me the slope on our water heater exhaust was dangerous
Just had our furnace replaced, and he warned me that while they don't work on water heaters, the exhaust should always be angled upwards.
Our basement ceiling is relatively low (I'm 5'11" and I have to duck down around plumbing and vents) so he recommended replacing the entire unit with a shorter model VS trying to fix the exhaust.
We're new homeowners so this is all new territory for us - how bad is this?

How do I level my patio for our 10ft pool? We got our daughter a $100 Bestway 10ft pool for her birthday, but it's proving to be quite the headache. Once it was all set up, we noticed it significantly sloped 5 inches to the left. We know this isn't safe, but have a hard time justifying building an entire deck for this thing. Right now, it's just 1 inch foam under it. Is there a relatively easy and cheap way to make this safe? We plan to use it in the summer and store it for winter.

Subwoofer size question: did I get scammed? I worked with an installer for my theater, and they insisted that these two JL 12” subs would be plenty, so I went with it despite my doubts (I thought we needed more). I'm still waiting on the installer to come back and do a final calibration, but so far it seems the subs aren’t nearly enough. Opinions?
