Announcement! I'm expanding my business to furniture flipping/refinishing! This is something I've been thinking about trying for a while. I just find joy out of taking what might be thrown out and giving it new life. Well, today is the reveal of my first flip!
This flip top swivel gaming or tea table was near the end of its days. The feet had cracks, and the overall look was dated with a reddish wood tone.
After some pondering we decided to sand the piece down, and apply a paint wash to the top in order to combat the red tones but maintain a wood finish. We painted the base with Emerald urethane trim enamel from Sherwin Williams in Canvas tan. The top was then finished with a food safe linseed oil and beeswax finish called Tried and True.
