🚨 RED ALERT 🚨

Tonight we are forecasted to have a FREEZE. Not a FROST, which we have had the past couple of nights but a sustained FREEZE. Some plants can handle a light frost but NOT a sustained freeze!!! Take all plants (annuals, houseplants, etc.) you want to keep alive and protect them indoors! Perennials and Trees should be okay, especially if they have a blanket of mulch on tonights cold evening! Current models appear to be transitioning back to warmer (still FALL though) temps in the days to come! BUT YOU MUST PROTECT your plants tonight! Please spread the word!!!

Well by golly, the plant craze has started! If you’re already ready for a plant sale…don’t worry…big things are in the works!

Students in Mr. Livingston’s Greenhouse Productions class are clearly as crazy about plants as their teacher is! This is just a FEW of the many corsages and boutonnières made in class…and we think our students have true talent! Stay tuned as they continue their Floral Design journey! Proof that science is art and art is always fun!

Are those pesky gnats bothering you, like they’re bothering me? Well the Mercer County Greenhouse still have citronella geraniums AND lemon grass!

Both are great at repelling those pesky buggers!

A big day today, May 18th! Our last day open for the 2024 spring season means…that we have to show our appreciation for YOU, our loyal customers, and do something that we have NEVER done before…a SALE on ALL plants left! All plants will be on sale…first come, first serve!

Fruits and Vegetables - $1
Herbs - $2
Annuals (Flowers) - $2.50

If you buy a full flat (18 plants)…the price drops to…

Fruits and Veggies - $0.56 a plant ($10 a tray)
Herbs - $1.11 a plant ($20 a tray)
Annuals (Flowers) - $1.68 a plant ($30 a tray)

That's right…you haven't seen a deal like this…EVER, and you might not ever see it again! You must buy a full flat to get full flat pricing! We cannot wait to see you tomorrow between 8:00-1:00!

Thanks to the Industrial Arts program at Mercer County High School…CEDAR PLANTERS are available to purchase!

Benefits to using cedar include that it’s naturally rot resistant, with some planters lasting 7-10+ years! Cedar is also naturally repellent to some insects AND the best part yet is you can come get them TODAY!

If you need a Mother’s Day gift to impress…stop in and grab one of these before they’re GONE!

Happy Mothers Day Weekend!! Ella H. and Mr. Livingston have been having some fun with plants this morning because YES we are open!!!

We have created this page to spread the word on some of the amazing things going on with the students at Mercer County in the greenhouse! Over the next few months, we will share updates on plants being grown for spring plant sales and all sorts of other cool things!
