Cannas! They will be here after the earth ends. I got a dwarf one to use as a thriller in this pot.
Cannas don’t survive winters very well in pots so I will dig up the bulb before the first freeze and store the bulb inside until it’s safe to put her back outside.

Decided to give them a try this year for the first time as well. No comparison here. Supertunias are out performing them. Planted at the same time. Fertilize the same each week.

I have come to very much appreciate how well plants thrive in raised beds.
My plants in the ground, even with amended soil are nowhere near in comparison of size to the plants that I have been in the raised beds for the same amount of time. Even the small circular raised bed I did for my rose of Sharon has helped it triple in size.
