🟣 Direct seed turnip seeds in loose, well-drained soil with full sun exposure.

🟣 Space seeds 1/2 inch deep and 1 inch apart, thinning to 4 to 6 inches apart when the plants have their first true leaves.

🟣 Keep soil consistently moist and apply a balanced fertilizer before planting and at mid season.

🟣 Common pests include flea beetles, root maggots, and aphids.

🟣 Harvest turnips when they are 2 to 3 inches in diameter, usually 50 to 60 days after planting.

🟣 Avoid planting in close proximity to other crops in the brassica family (like broccoli, kale, or cabbage) as they attract the same diseases and pests
