“We Never Really Had Enough Hot Water…”

🚨 This is NOT normal wear and tear 🚨

During a recent service call on an older gas furnace, we discovered severely heat-damaged wiring routed around critical components, including the gas valve and safety switches.

The biggest red flag?
👉 The gas valve cap was visibly charred, and nearby wiring insulation was nearly burned off. Based on the damage pattern, this may have been caused by a past heat exchanger rollout event or flame disturbance, which can force excessive heat outside its intended path.

⚠️ While the damage was outside the combustion chamber, conditions like this can:

Compromise safety controls

Damage gas valves and wiring

Cause intermittent shutdowns or lockouts

Create serious fire and safety risks

What’s concerning is that the system was still operating when we arrived. Issues like this are often hidden and go unnoticed until they result in a no-heat emergency—or worse.

✅ The issue was identified, documented, and addressed safely before further escalation.

When heat fails, especially in the middle of winter, it’s more than an inconvenience — it’s a safety issue. Today our team was honored to respond to an emergency heating failure at Quantico Marine Base, assisting one of our local veterans whose system had completely gone down.

After assessing the situation, it was clear the existing equipment was no longer safe or reliable to operate. With temperatures dropping and no heat available, we moved quickly to coordinate and complete a same-day emergency heating installation to restore comfort and protect the home. Our technicians worked efficiently to remove the failed system, install new equipment, and verify proper operation so heat could be restored as soon as possible.
