Here's what to watch for:

- Unusual noises (grinding, screeching, or loud humming) often signal worn bearings or debris in the impeller.
- Weak or no water flow may mean the pump is losing prime or the impeller is damaged.
- Motor overheating or tripping the breaker repeatedly points to an internal issue.
- Water pooling beneath the unit usually means a failing seal or housing crack.
