At the end of February, interior designer, Chloe Fritz participated in one of our neighboring communities career fair.

“It was such an honor to attend the Liberty High School career fair. Getting to talk through my day-to-day is always something I enjoy, but what really stood out was seeing how prepared these students are for their next steps. From attending classes part-time with partnered Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School to integrated CAD and drafting courses within the curriculum, it’s clear the Bethlehem Area School District is doing an incredible job.” She stated.

As another school year comes to a close, Breslin Architects would like to thank all the hardworking educators, administrators, staff, and students who make our school communities so special. We are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside so many incredible districts and educational partners. Wishing everyone a safe, relaxing, and well-deserved summer, and congratulations to the Class of 2026!

Groundbreaking news! Radnor Township School District has officially broken ground on the new Ithan Elementary School. 🏫 🎊

Breslin Architects Principal-in-Charge of the project, Stephen Behrens and Project Architect Julian Pelekanakis, were proud to be part of this exciting milestone as the vision for this highly anticipated project begins to take shape.

Designed to inspire future generations of learners, leaders, creators, and innovators, the new Ithan Elementary School will serve the community for years to come.

Last week, we kicked off another golf season at the 9th Annual Fidevia Golf Outing, which raised an incredible $37,000 for Voices of Hope! 🎊

Breslin Architects was recently featured in the Philadelphia Business Journal for one of our latest projects with the Chester County Intermediate Unit!

Principal-in-Charge Stephen Behrens shared insight into the design approach: “A lot of decisions go into the detailed design of a school building. The Child Career and Development Center at Great Valley is a facility tailored from the ground up for special needs students, educators, and support staff. A seemingly simple decision, such as the substrate of wall construction, demonstrates how successful design starts with the ‘bones’ of the building. As highlighted in the article, the use of concrete masonry units (CMU) in the new facility has a meaningful impact on safety, acoustics, and overall aesthetics.”

This year at the 2026 AIA Eastern Pennsylvania Awards, Breslin Architects was presented the Award of Excellence for the Gockley Elementary School.

The jury highlighted the following:
“Gockley Elementary School is celebrated for its thoughtful, well-crafted, and rigorous design. The school demonstrates a deep understanding of how a learning environment can support both education and community. “

“The entry sequence is carefully considered to welcome students, and circulation is organized with a clear material language and wayfinding. Double height spaces and the library create a series of social spaces for shared learning… It reflects diligence and care, a symbol of design excellence.”

As we wrap up National Surveyors Week, we’re proud to spotlight a project that brings our story full circle.

Barry Isett & Associates, Inc.'s very first project was a campus‑wide survey at DeSales University (then Allentown College). Nearly 50 years later, our survey team continues to support the evolution of the campus, most recently through work tied to the Robert J. Breslin Welcome Center.

From establishing accurate control and supporting site layout to coordinating pedestrian access, roadways, and campus integration, surveying played a critical role in setting the foundation for this project and ensuring everything that followed could move forward with confidence.

It’s a powerful reminder that while tools and technology evolve, great projects still start with great survey work.
