Greenhouse in the Snow

Figgy 🐢 and friends apologize for their short leave of absence. Although winter ❄️ may have just shown its face here finally, the greenhouse is still sunny and 90 degrees with a low of 48 even on the coldest nights of -26! Pineapples, lemons, kumquats, tomatoes, cucumbers, fresh ginger, eggplant, and more are just a few things ready each day at the hand of Figgy's green thumb 😉...or is it green claws? 🤔🤷‍♀️

It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we report the passing of our dear friend and founder, Russ Finch, late afternoon of Thanksgiving day. He passed at the age of 92, peacefully at home, with his family nearby.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. We will share details on that when they are available.

Figgy 🐢🐢🐢 and her friends helped clean out and refresh the old greenhouse this late summer/early fall and are excited to announce it is done and planted! We are officially in tea production mode 🙌 🫖 7 tea plants, a hibiscus tea plant, and some plants to harvest for additives including edible roses, vanilla, cinnamon, and jasmine!🌹🌺🌱 Off on the next adventure, Figgy and her crew is 🐢😁

Figgy 🐢 was out and about this morning checking out what all is growing in the greenhouse! Check is out: poblanos🌶, okra, lots of Carolina reapers🌶🔥, lettuce🥬, lemon cucumbers🥒🍋 are wrapping up, super chili, pink celery, black garbanzo beans, garlic🧄, pineapple🍍, and much more started and blooming to set on! 🍆🍌🍈🍅🫑🌶🥬🫛🫚🧅🥕

Presenting Jurassic Turtle 🐢🎬 Figgy 🐢 is busy finishing up her cement path to the new greenhouse so that she and her friends 🐢🐢🐢can go visit any time! New growth 🌱🥬is always happening with a new version of retaining wall planters popping up - versatile for the retaining walls or raised beds, inside or outside the greenhouse! AND Figgy visited her new friends! Two water turtles and bunch of little goldfish 🐟to occupy the pond 🌊
