A friendly PSA about AI-generated paint schemes. No offense intended — just a little reality check. Another painter recently posted about this, and I think it’s worth addressing.

AI has become an awesome tool, and we’re seeing more customers send AI-generated schemes for reference. Some are seriously cool ideas. Others are… well… designed by a computer that has never held an airbrush, cut a mask, or fought overspray a day in its existence.

AI can create impossible fades, floating graphics, tiny details, six colors layered in the same spot, lines that go nowhere, and effects that would require 47 hands and a wizard to actually paint.

AI images are inspiration, not blueprints.

A real painter still has to translate that concept onto an actual three-dimensional body while working around body shape, paint order, masking, cutting, fades, materials, and the physical limitations of paint.

Do I use AI? Absolutely. I use it for color changes, layouts, and visualizing ideas. It’s a fantastic brainstorming tool.

But if you send an AI image expecting the finished body to look 100% identical, I hate to break it to ya, but it won’t — Not because your painter lacks skill, but because AI doesn’t know (or care) what’s actually possible to paint.

Please still send those ideas! We love the creativity. Just understand that turning an AI concept into a real paint job takes experience, problem-solving, and sometimes a little artistic interpretation. That’s why I usually recommend looking through actual painters’ pages for concepts you like. Those designs have already been translated into something a human can physically create.

So please be understanding when your painter says something needs to change. We’re human — skilled humans, but humans nonetheless. We have to work within the rules of actual paint, actual masking, actual materials, and an actual body.

AI can dream it up. Your painter still has to perform the magic. (Stolen from another page. But it fits 100 percent and I don't have to type it out)

Painters Challenge update.

I have 14 painters entered so far.

How it works - I shipped each painter a body of their chose. They in return will take their abilities to the max, painting a Halloween theme of their choice. They have to incorporate a pumpkin in the theme and use purple, black and orange in the paint scheme.. They can add any other colors and do what design they like.. We will have a popular vote for anyone to vote dropping it down in half. We will take the top 7 and do a revote with all the a painters having a vote (cant vote for your own) As well as myself and my team managers Nick Schneider and Jaime Vega. Also added to the vote will be the people who donated extra cash prizes to this fun contest. Jason Beam and Jeremiah Sweetwood who Donated $100 each towards the prize.. Taylor Holcomb started it off with a $100 donation but he is already in the contest so he just gets one vote total. I wanted to thank Taylor's original idea to donate to the prize as well as Jeremiah and Jason.

If you wanted to add to the prize, reach out to me or post on here you want in. You will get a vote and once we hit $500 to the winner we will start adding funds to 2nd and 3rd places if people what to get in on the fun. This is going over so well i already plan on doing it next year as well.. The painters are all hyped to showcase their talents and i have heard what a few are doing so it will be cool to see what they come up with.. Some might be sharing on their page of the progress and others may keep it secret for the final.. The week of Halloween is when we will be displaying their work.

Some of the Painters will be putting the bodies up for sale after the contest. So you might have the chance to own one of the contest bodies. They will be sold thru the painters, not myself.. I basically offered the canvas so they can showcase their talents. The best part Some are using this as a great learning tool and reach out to the others for ideas and help.. In the end what they learn will make future projects of yours even better.

Room for a couple more painters. legit painters and samples do need to be sent to be to get in on this...

Why support small businesses, because the small businesses owners have a closer relationship with the racers and will do fun deals like this. Some small business give back to the hobby.

Bodies and shipping to the painters was free by Shark. That was my part in offering the cool contest. They supply the time and materials for paint, i sent them the canvas.

So far $400 to win.

Donations from -

Paul $100
Taylor $100
Jason Beam $100
Jeremiah Sweetwood $100
