We took on this basement bathroom that had been partially demoed to fix a previous plumbing leak from the main floor above. It had remnants of a water damaged drop ceiling that had to go. The old exhaust fan was vented into the drop ceiling creating moisture and mold so we installed our new one vented properly outside. We put in new framing for the shower, soffit, and ceiling. Had to bust up the floor since the old cast iron drain line for the shower was cracked all the way down to the hub so we replaced it with PVC. Set the shower pan in a mortar bed because we don’t like squeaky, creaky shower pans. Did our flood test and onto building the shower and putting up drywall everywhere else. Tile is 3x12 with a niche perfectly placed to follow the grout lines of full tiles. Moved an outlet, fresh paint, and a little trim work to finish it off.

We recently did this bathroom for a long-time, repeat client. Two-tone tiled shower with gold finishes. Carrara marble mosaic floor. New vanity, new mirror, new vanity light, new towel bars and hooks, all gold finishes. This bathroom came out beautiful!

This is a major upgrade in both aesthetic and functionality. We removed this high sided, over sized tub in order to build an ADA compliant transfer-in shower that the client will actually be able to safely use now. We also added a light in the ceiling for the shower, changed out the unapproved Poly-B water lines for both the bathroom and laundry room while we had the walls open, and repitched the drain lines to get rid of a low spot that was collecting water.

Whew! This flooring project became a race to beat the clock and keep the house on schedule. We needed to lower the subfloor so the tile and hardwood line up for a smooth transition. But what we found after demoing the tile was almost two inches worth of layers of subfloor glued together. We ended up having to cut out all the subfloor down to exposed joists. Finally it was time to rebuild. New 3/4” advantech subfloor followed by Redgard uncoupling mat and lastly setting the 13x26 travertine styled porcelain tile from Spain. The finished results were stunning!

Installed this frosted glass French door set today, really like how it turned out. Just needs paint and k***s.
