This corner of Plant Em is a little different. ❤️

I’ve dedicated this space to my cousin, Mindy, who is currently fighting stage 4 colon cancer.

Every plant in this corner is being offered for sale, and the proceeds will be donated to Mindy’s GoFundMe to help support her during treatment.

Please feel free to pay more than the asking price if you’d like. Every extra dollar makes a difference, and every little bit of support means so much.

🌿 A little end-of-summer plant project! 🌿

My three largest plants in my personal collection all got combined into one HUGE pot today! 😍 My Monstera deliciosa, Thai Constellation, and Philodendron ‘Paraiso Verde’ have spent the entire summer growing outside in the elements.

Are they in pristine condition? Nope. Do they have a few battle scars from their summer adventures? Absolutely! 😂

But for me, they are PERFECT. ❤️

There’s something so satisfying about watching plants grow, adapting to their needs, and experimenting with what works best. Not every plant has to look like it belongs in a magazine to be beautiful. Sometimes, the best plants are the ones that have been through a little bit of life with you. 🌱

Now let’s see what these three giants do together! I can’t wait to watch them settle into their new home. 🪴💚

I’m always experimenting with different ways to grow plants! 🧪🌿 And this Philodendron gloriosum is my newest successful test subject!

Gloriosums are naturally horizontal growers, spreading along the surface rather than climbing upward. So I thought… why not try something different and give this beauty a vertical structure? 👀

I used one of my clear, stackable poles that you can fill with a substrate of your choice. Not only does it create a unique growing setup, but it gives us another way to turn an already gorgeous plant into something truly eye-catching!

I sell these clear poles at Plant Em, and I love seeing all the creative possibilities they open up.

Don’t get me wrong, plants are beautiful all on their own. 🪴 Drop one into a decorative pot, and you’re set! But sometimes, I love getting a little crafty and experimenting with how we grow them.

Why settle for a plant when you can create a living statement piece? 💚

🌿 IT’S ALMOST TIME TO BRING YOUR PLANTS INSIDE! 🪴

Your friendly reminder to start prepping NOW! Trust me, you don’t want to bring a whole bunch of unwanted tagalongs into your house along with your plant babies. 😂

🪴 Apply a systemic pesticide if appropriate for your plants, and always follow the label directions.

🦟 Start treating for fungus gnats NOW! Don’t wait until they’re flying around your house by the hundreds.

🍂 Give your plants a good refresh! Remove dead leaves, unhealthy foliage, and debris hiding around the base.

🔎 Inspect everything carefully. Check the undersides of leaves, stems, and around the growing medium for unwanted pests before bringing your plants indoors.

🪰 Still worried about those pesky flying insects? We’ve got you covered! Plant Em has plenty of carnivorous plants ready to help catch some of those unwanted flyers. Venus flytraps, sundews, pitcher plants, and more! Who says pest control can’t be fun? 😍🌱

A little preparation now can save you a HUGE headache later! Your indoor jungle should bring you joy, not a house full of unwanted visitors. 😂💚

Can we take a moment to appreciate these gorgeous succulents?! 😍💚

The Haworthias at Plant Em are full of character! From their striking stripes and textured chucky leaves to those incredible translucent “window” tips, these plants are living little works of art. 🪴

And don’t let their compact growth fool you… these beauties make a statement without taking over your space!

💚 Compact, not boring! Their unique shapes and patterns make them stand out in any succulent collection.

☀️ Bright, indirect light: They generally prefer protection from harsh afternoon sun.

💧 Less is more: Let their growing medium dry completely between waterings. They don’t like sitting in excess moisture! Look for the leaves appear less plump.

🏡 Perfect for smaller spaces: Their naturally compact growth makes them wonderful for desks, shelves, and sunny spots around your home.

🌟 Meet the Giant Starfish Cactus! 🌟

Okay, plant lovers… how cool are these?! 🤩🌵

These funky, architectural beauties are Stapelia gigantea, and here’s a fun plant fact: despite looking like a cactus, they’re actually succulents in the milkweed family (Apocynaceae)! 🌿

And just wait until they bloom! 😍 They produce HUGE, star-shaped flowers that look like something from another planet. 👽⭐ But there’s a catch… those gorgeous blooms are famous for smelling like rotting meat! 🤢😂 That lovely little trick helps attract the flies that pollinate them in the wild.

✨ Unique, unusual, and definitely a conversation starter!
