These are a few of new additions that were ready to be put into their proper blends and added to the shop, and honestly… I needed them just as much as they needed me today. 🥹🪴

Sometimes the best therapy is getting your hands dirty, repotting some plants, and spending a little quiet time surrounded by green. 💚

🌿 Just for comparison… 🌿

After my disappointment post yesterday, I wanted to show you what my 4” Philodendron Pink Princesses look like.

This is the size, fullness, and overall plant quality I would expect when purchasing a 4” PPP. 💗🌱

I’m not saying every 4” plant needs to look exactly like this. Plants are living things, and there will always be natural variation.

But I wanted to give you a visual comparison because sometimes it’s hard to understand the difference until you actually see it.

These are 4” plants — not 2” plants placed into a 4” pot.

Just something to think about when comparing sizes, prices, and what you’re actually receiving. 👀

And after what I found when repotting my recent shipment, I think this comparison is worth sharing.

Quality matters. Plant size matters. And what’s happening beneath the surface matters, too. 💚

That’s exactly why I’m so particular about what I bring into Plant Em. 🌿💕

🌱 A HUGE disappointment…

I’m going to be completely honest…this one really hurts. 😔

I was SO excited about these new 4” additions and couldn’t wait to get them repotted into their proper blends and ready for you guys.

But when I started repotting them, this is what I found.

Every single 4” plant I’ve opened up has a root system that is more appropriate for a 2” pot. 😩

These plants simply do not have the established root systems I expect when I purchase and sell a 4” plant. And unfortunately, I can’t put them into my normal 4” pricing when I know they aren’t what they should be.

I apologize for getting anyone’s hopes up about these plants. 💚 I was excited about them too!

Most of the new 4” additions will be getting shipped back. I cannot sell them for even what I paid for them, and I’m not comfortable passing them along to you at that price when I know they aren’t up to the standard I want for Plant Em.

I would much rather take the loss myself than sell you something I wouldn’t be happy receiving.

Thank you for always trusting me to bring you quality plants. That trust is worth more to me than making a sale. 🌿💚

And believe me…I’m just as disappointed as you are. 😭
