🏛️ AMARILLO ARCHITECTURE APPRECIATION

Have you ever really looked at the Potter County Courthouse?

The courthouse we see today was completed in 1932, replacing Potter County’s original 1904 courthouse. Designed by Townes, Lightfoot and Funk with Page Brothers as consulting architects, the building reflects the architectural style of its era with details including travertine, terra cotta, bronze, and glass.

It has been part of downtown Amarillo for more than 90 years, witnessing generations of change in our community.

Sometimes the buildings we pass every day have the most interesting stories.

The Drawing Board is looking for a professional residential designer to join our team. This is an immediate opening for someone who is creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about residential design.

Responsibilities:
• Develop residential floor plans and construction drawings
• Work with clients to understand their needs and design goals
• Make revisions and adjustments throughout the design process
• Collaborate with our design team from concept through completion
• Assist with field measurements and existing-condition drawings

Qualifications:
• Experience in residential design or drafting
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Strong understanding of residential construction and building practices
• Excellent attention to detail and organization
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
