Handing over another one on a Friday! This Master Bath was a FULL gut. Removed old fiberglass spaceship, pocket door and wall, bulkheads, tile floor, etc. Had ti do a little bit of drain line replacement before buttoning things back up. Leveled the ceiling to make sure the final product was as good as possible. Drywall, paint, LVP floors, Onyx shower system with a tile inlay, Bertch vanity and tall linen cabinet, back lit custom mirror, and a new glass shower door. This old bath was dark and dingy and pretty closed off. It’s amazing what it felt like getting all of that out and seeing what we had for extra room. Clients were happy to get rid of the ‘80’s!!!

The fall trip to the north woods is just a memory now. A week north never gets old but is never enough time. While the fishing was terrible, Blaze and I managed to harvest our first ruffed grouse together. I think Blaze loves lake life more than I do! We swam, hunted, fished, had some fires, Blaze got lost but was found 45 min and a mile later, drank, and ate some good food! Motoring across the lake to load up the boat is always the worst, but it still is better than staying home. Till next year…

Nothing beats wrapping up a job that seems to linger. This Story City basement bath reno went pretty smooth outside of the first shower door showing up shattered. We found that the master bath upstairs had a cracked drain line which was easily accessible during this project which worked out perfect. New tile floors, full shower, glass shower door, navy vanity, floating shelves and matching mirror, quartz vanity top, and fixtures. This farmhouse got a nice update just in time for company!

Some detail work before being gone for an extra extra long weekend. Dropped the trailer off and and decided to finish out the paint on this basement bath renovation while I was there. Floor tile, vanity and top, Onyx shower system, and glass shower door will complete this project!

I thoroughly enjoy the differences from one job to the next. Some tile is easier than others to make it look like you know why you’re doing! Folded corners and mitered trim are going to make this one stand out from other jobs. The goal is to always learn something new from each job and to make the next one a little better than the last. Planning, layout, more planning, staring at things for 15 min without blinking… There’s lots that go into each job that nobody notices, and that’s ok!

Wrapped another bathroom up today before lunch! This one was a big turn around from having only a tub option as the single main level bathroom in this ‘50’s house. We upgraded with a walk in shower system with subway tile patterned walls. Installed a new 18” depth vanity with matching Onyx top. New LVP floors. New trim to match the existing pine, and some black faucets for the vanity and in the shower.
