This is Ravens Roost Cohousing in Anchorage Alaska. It was really fun to work with a project in which we considered how to get more senior residents safely and comfortably from private units (designed for aging-in-place) to the common house where the community members dine together 3 x a week. The solution for half the community is an interior corridor. The other half of the community is clustered around a green, connecting residents more directly to the land.

After enjoying the team work on our Wilderness Lodge Competition (see previous post), we asked Regenerative Design and Bensonwood to join us in another design submission, this time for a new open bandshell for Amherst Common. We received honorable mention for this submission.

Our office enjoys entering design competitions when they resonate with our values and we actually have a little extra time. These are the renderings and competition board for a Wilderness Lodge in Maine utilizing mass timber technology. Our team included Regenerative Design for landscape and Bensonwood for design and construction.
