A lot of people ask where the name “Fix It Like Jim” came from.

Jim was my grandpa — a WWII veteran, hardworking family man, and the kind of person who believed if you were going to do something, you did it right the first time. He was the type to help anyone who needed it, whether it was fixing something around the house or simply showing up when people counted on him.

That’s the standard we try to carry into this business every day.

We started Fix It Like Jim because we saw too many people struggling to get calls back, get fair pricing, or find someone dependable for the smaller jobs that still matter. We wanted to build something honest, hardworking, and family-oriented — the way he would have done it.

So whether it’s a small repair, painting project, fence repair, or a long list you’ve been putting off, we truly appreciate every person who trusts us with their home.
